SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE

Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral will hold an ADDITIONAL Open House. On this day, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., in St. Vladimir Cultural Center's Building, parents will be able to register their children for the 2015-2016 school year, enroll new students fo age 3-6 in Preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade, pay tuition, buy thextbooks, and get acquainted with the School.

For the registration, in addition to the Student Registration and Medical Emergency Form, we ask parents to bring a copy of the birth certificate for each child (if they register for the first time or did not provided a copy in previous years) and a valid e-mail address for school messages. If necessary, the birth certificates can be copied at School office.

In addition, if registration occurs after the classes start,, an additional $20 of late registration fee will be required.

The school year begins on September 10, 2016.

School Administration

.: 2016-2017 School Year Begins

Parma, Ohio — New 2016-2017 school year at T. Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies starts on September 10, 2016.

This day schedule for September 10 is the following:

  • 8:30-10:30 a.m. - Late Student Registration for those parents, who missed the Open House on August 27th and September 7th.
  • 9:00 a.m. - Classes begin.
  • 9:30 a.m. - School Year Start Moleben at St. Vladimir's Cathedral for students and parents.
  • 10:00 a.m. - Classes resume.
  • 1:30 p.m. - Classes end.

In addition we inform you that this year T. Shevchenko Preschool will have two groups again - one for 3 year old and one for 4 year old children. All preschool children are required to be potty-trained.

To be accepted to the Kindergarten, a child should be 5 year old by October 31, 2016; to the first grade, 6 year old.

No Nuts or Peanuts

We remind that on Saturdays parents have to provide their children with a packed lunch. Lunch time is from 11:05 a.m. until 11:25 a.m. As we have students with severe allergy to nuts, we strongly ask parents not to give their children to school the food that contains nuts and peanuts.
